Mikey, you have the point to doubt PGMA but she will find hard to push thru her intention (if she has) to remain in power after 2010. Pushing thru the Cha-cha is not possible because there will be no time and the election is fast approaching not unless she use military force. But remember, she can’t be sure of the loyalty of her friend (old man). Perhaps you are also aware that this old man I am referring to is still has much power in the AFP.
Joe, pushing this Cha-Cha is maybe difficult but greediness makes all things possible in this world, isn’t it? You see, GMA hard face is her great asset and her greediness makes GMA face even harder.
Yeah, election is fast approaching but I don’t think this is a problem for her ambition. You see, if any problem could be solve by checkbook then it’s not a problem anymore. After all, GMA could easily sign blank checks to disburse to her cronies in Congress. Nowadays, Pinoy politicians sold their souleasily and GMA will not find it hard to buy those stinky assholes.
You were talking the Jumping Tobacco? Well, the ex. Lousy Soldier and the Former President is now irrelevant in Philippines politics. He has no more force to challenge GMA. He couldn’t even save the bloody ass of his friend and kababayan former Speaker of the House, Jose De Venencia what more challenging the greediness of the Little Lady andher Fatty Hubbly Bobbly?
Though not necessarily smart but GMA surrounding her administration with those former Military Generals is pretty smart moves. You see, men in uniforms are also business minded assholes and obviously their loyalty is based on profit. After all, keeping their loyalty to the former president who is now irrelevant is obviously liabilities in whatever angles you view it.

Dahil speculation man sana palan, mag haka-haka na kita ki todo.
Mag wan plus wan kita:
Opinion ni CJ Panganiban – http://opinion.inquirer.net/inquireropinion/columns/view/20080816-155088/The-real-Cha-cha-goal
. . . “Technically, GMA does not want a new term under the present presidential system. If, as sitting president, she were allowed by a Charter change to seek another term, she would then have to run a nationwide campaign for reelection. Given her abysmal public approval rating, she has no chance of being reelected even if she called 10 “Garcis.”. . .
Wan . . . Understandably, GMA wants the parliamentary system so she could run in a much smaller constituency, a parliamentary district, and then retain power as prime minister of the Republic. Compared to a nationwide presidential vote, the parliamentary option is the much easier route for her to remain in reign.
This constituency will definitely a district in Pampanga
Latest development ng fiesta sa Lubao Pampanga – http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/storypage.aspx?StoryId=128474
Wan . . .
On the latest development in Mindanao, Arroyo is now singing a new tune, http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingnews/nation/view/20080818-155343/Arroyo-Defend-every-inch-of-Philippine-territory
” President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has ordered the police and military to “defend every inch of Philippine territory” against forces of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). . .
. . . The President also ordered troops to “restore peace in affected areas” in the province as she condemned the “sneaky and treacherous attacks” as a “violation of the peace agreement and a challenge to progress in Mindanao.”
Dai mangyayari ini kung pina-agi sa tamang proceso su MOA kan GRP saka MILF. Sa simula’t simula pa, sneaky and treacherous nasu paagi kan MILF, ngunyan lang ini naaraman kan administrasyon?
Sabi ngani ni Josee, “wala akong nakikitang road map…or blue print for a long term solution para sa problema ng Mindanao….Pabago-bago, eksperemento.”

Tama ka, Joe! Ang Cha-Cha ay lahat ay haka-haka lamangsa mga kontra dito. But you know what, whatever speculation we may have, thisis sad to say have some basis.
Yes, you have Gloria promised in front of our National Hero (Dr. Jose Rizal) memorial that she won’t run for 2004 Election and yet cheated her way to the very position she’s clinging right now.
And of course, if someone would cheated just to able to get the presidency — obviously it would be very hard for her to surrender that stolenpower. She actually lied many times and overturn her promises. We have a president who doesn’t know how to spell the Palabra de Honor!
And one more thing, if a lady is using a bridgestone brand for her make up and tupperware for her accesories, then parang mahirap ng maniwala kahit na ano pa ang sabihin n’ya, diba?

Please read read this article The Real Cha-cha Goal by Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban,
the last two paragraphs as below:
“Hence, the federalism ploy would soon be dropped by GMA to focus on the Cha-cha’s parliamentary centerpiece. Of course, to prove the alleged urgency of Charter change, GMA needed to show the GRP-MILF MOA as Exhibit 1. As I said in my two earlier pieces, nothing prevents the Con-ass—once convened—from dancing the parliamentary Cha-cha with soothing federal music. But we must never ever forget that the real reason for the shindig is the parliamentary swing.
Let us all face this monumental battle squarely. Abandon the pretension, double talk and deception. There is only one real goal for Charter change: to extend GMA’s reign beyond June 30, 2010. Let those who favor it be transparent. Let them remove their gloves. Let the oppositors bare their knuckles. And let the real Cha-cha bout begin.”
IfCJ Panganiban, a retired Chief Justicewho is not a politician and a Catholic Lay Leader can be so candid on the MOA-AD cum GMA’s term-extension issue , it only means that our apprehensions (including whoa, mikey, josee, harley, pepe, ed and others)aslesser mortals compared to CJ Panganiban, are withbasis and real.
