Try to visit Small Talk Cafe in Legazpi City. The place is cozy and perfect for family gatherings and they serve good food at affordable prices. Must try - Pasta Mayon, Beff Caldereta and Ox tongue is mushroom sauce (yumeee!)

noy, next time magka-on ka duman at inorder mo su PASTA LAENG - kai-kodakan mo man please.
intirgue ako sa bicolano/italian fusion na yadi. naglaway-laway na lugod ako.

anong klaseng pasta ang pigamit didi sa pasta mayon?
the picture looks like a flat pasta or ravioli, is this also a tomato based sauce? what are those
dark (or black) dots in the sauce, what does the taste remind you of (or how does it taste like)?

mahilig ako pawno mag luto and i'd like to replicate the taste.
hapodon mo kung ano ang recipe, nagutom lugod akong marhay.
dipisil yading arayo sa sadiring banwa.

gotta visit soon & will make this place among my
"PLACES TO VISIT/FOODS TO TRY" list.

mabalos!

Hi Eileen,

thanks for posting about small talk cafe,

turns out to be the house where i would have my piano lessons when i was in elementary grade. the home of Mrs. Peralta and it is right beside the church where i used to go, the Albay Evangelical Church.

do try the pinangat pizza and capreciossa (basil based. super yummy. as in the taste is right at the base of your tongue (my gauge of good food). my elementary classmate and i were arguing which was was it since we ordered the combination pizza. the pinangat pizza is the one with pineapple slices and bell pepper (tastes like any regular pizza) until you bite into the pinangat bits. the capreciossa, which we mistook for pinangat pizza is covered with a bed of finely chopped basil and is so delicious too and refreshing. both are thin crust which is how i like my pizza. remained crunchy even when it was already cold.

kudos to the chef. the buko pandan shake was also very good...at nakakabusog ha.
