Everybody sweats and most of us are familiar with the odor we perspire when taking off our socks, depending on how long and how hot your socks could be soaking in sweat. ladies of course never sweat like us male ruffians, however It is said that they may be glowing! Feet are feet for the most part but our odor can differ from persons by quite a lot to the extreme, phew! There are many who no one but the owner of such unbearable smelly feet that could stay in the same environment for very long after getting just the slightes sniff of the most offensive maladorous parfumarie that can be had for free, without gagging on one's own breath. I concider my own to be average or within limits, and I know about what I'm talking about, when I say some are so foul smelling to be aquainted with for longer than a instant which necessates the greatest composure to be endured by a norman Human-Being without running blindly headlong for the nearest exit, be it either door or window. I suspect that it's only bacteria that does the nasty on us, and not what one eats!. If a person works twelve hour shifts in heat over 40%C, then the skin of your feet may be very soft, so I used to use a soap substitute that is soothing to the feet and prevents itchiness between the toes and the soles of ones feet, I would soak them for twenty minutes in a mixture of water and a dash of the solution using a small towel to wipe clean then rinse in cold water. It can also be used directly to sensitive skin where chafing has been a problem caused by friction with clothing in the groin areas. Other than there been liquid soap alternatives there exists creams that ease soreness, some powders and sprays. As a general rule its better to tackle the problem quickly when it first starts to irritate rather than later when you are scratching so hard only making matters much worse.

baking soda or sodium bicarbonate is a tried and tested odor-absorbing compound because of its anti-fungal properties. it can also be used as an effective cleaning agent when mixed with right amount of water or other chemical compounds.

some bakers use the leftovers of baking soda in baking bread and pastries after treating their stinky feet, so not to waste some of it. the sweaty socks are used in straining the baking soda. so the next time you eat your pan de sal in the morning..have a second thought. dip it first in a mug of hot coffee to sterilize it before giving a munch.

ooooppss..joke joke lang po hehe..

@ Nonoy frank, I want to thank you ever so much for the good advice when dipping my hot pan-di-sal into my coffee mug to first check it, but how can one tell if its free of any small spects of coffee grinds? A Filipino friend of mine once claimed to know that chinese tea was strained through an old sock, this was very good for laugh even after more than twenty years or more have gone bye since he made those remarks. I had no idea of the supurb qualities of baking soda or sodium-bicarbonae, I feel very much reasured that it could very well act as a good sterilizer, but would it not burn the skin? I have however discovered long ago that drinking a mixture of Gin & soda tonic water is better than drinking beer when flying as it lessens the urgent need to visit the conference room at the most inconvenient of times, such as when your plane has stopped taxiing and the aisles are now full of people waiting for the doors to open and you know there will be a long wait yet before sighting either porcelain or stainless steel, these are some of the little difficulties in life that a man learns the hard way! ;-)

@ Cho, Hi Cho, I chose to include this in the Health Issues section because people do not know if there is a balm or cream available to them, most of whwt we see on tv is about shampoo to babies nappies, nothing else, the reason for this because only "Mad dogs and Englishmen work in the midday Sun". I was just pondering over my own experances and such malady was common, I know how to deal with such things nowadays but there was no instructions to advise or give warnings to enlighten a person in advance, a few handy in-house-tips involved with working in such environments. I like some others tried remidies like johnsons baby powder & foot powders, powders are no good when the body is drenched in sweat like one has been standing in the shower fully clothed for hours and not knowing how to deal properly with the accursed condition such as a red raw abrasions scalding the groin & buttocks, under the arms or any crevasse of the body, anywhere where the clothing has been rubbing. There was always a prevention or a better way the cure is sometimes comes too late, it's also harder for those who are overweight. Several daily changes of socks & underwear plus avoidance of using normal body soap to inflamed skin is a must, a necessary subistute like pinetarsol are available, combined with 3Bcream, sprays, and powders for prickly heat are a help also sports minded people propably know or have been familiar to these conditions although my workdays were long and there was no way out of it except to endure like I did or quit the job altogether.

Hi Kit, just looking back on the previous thread I came across this issue about "stinky thingy.".. at first the title sound oppressive... but on the other hand this is good to concider...why? because it is not only the good looks. It is the scent hmmmm the pleasing, clean smell that makes you smile. That makes you concoct a plan, makes you prepare for an invasion grrrrrrrrrr!
