I would definitely recommend DAILY OVERLAND for freight services. I saved a lot by sending my packages up to Manila only [rather than up to Bicol, it would cost more as it would be by km] , c/o Ms. Vicky Sy the manager of Daily Overland, and they would deliver it collect to Tabaco. I have been their customer for almost 18 years now. Even during the typhoon Reming, Daily Overland was a big help in transporting relief goods from Manila to Bicol. It is a very reliable company and with very polite staff.

You are welcome tabi Nuy, [ I remember that you used to facilitate my cargo to Tabaco, while you were still working in Taft Branch, I used to call you over the phone] You can send me a flyer and I will try to distribute it to pinoys here, I could post it in announcement board. Send me private message and I will give you my email add.

I would not hesitate to tell everybody that Overland has been a big help for me, since I started working abroad when it comes to delivering cargo to my family in Tabaco.

Hi. A relative from Canada sent 4 b. boxes and instead of sending it directly to Bicol I am planning to just have it delivered somewhere in Manila and then send to Tabaco/Tiwi through Daily Overland. My question is, is it possible that the boxes will be delivered directly to Daily Overland from AMJ? And what would be the process/procedure for this scenario? Please advise immediately if possible as the boxes are scheduled to arrive on the 22nd of this month.

Thank you.

I hope by sharing my system in sending cargo to Bicol would help anyone:

I address the cargo to the receiver: Mrs/Mr _______________________[ TABACO COLLECT] c/o Ms. Vicky Sy, Daily Overland Cargo, 1859 L.M. Guerrero St., Malate, Manila Philippines Tel. No. 00632 5327521/5237966

The cargo company who will receive my cargo will deliver it to Overland as the destination, and the Overland Cargo will deliver it to my place in Bicol [of course for a much lesser price compare to if you send it straight from abroad to bicol]. Few days before it would be delivered to Overland, I usually give them a call, informing them that this particular cargo will deliver a package under so and so name to please deliver it collect to Tabaco. [Most of the staff in Overland are Bicolanos]. I have been doing this for years, and so far I have never encountered any problem. [ Please note that the person who will receive the cargo in Bicol is the one to pay the charge of Overland as it is collect, so you have to know the number of kilos of the package sent, to give you an idea how much you will pay in case the cargo will arrive]. Maybe Carlo can provide in this thread the rates.

Hope this helps.

Hi Ms. Josephine, We charge it by actual weight/kilo or by volumetric weight(cm3) whichever is higher..From there abroad, you can send it to any service provider there going to philippines addressed to your ULTIMATE consignee or kung sino ang padadalhan mo sa bicol c/o DAILY OVERLAND malate office .. Then our Malate office will be the one that will forward it to the designated branch where it is consigned to..Now, for a more specific rate, If possible you can give me the actual kilo and its dimension in centimeters in my private e-mail so I can give you a more specific charging for you cargo..

Send it to: carlosechaluce@gmail.com

thanks..
