The 6-6 stalwart from San Sebastian College failed to continue the Stags' reign in the NCAA after his team lost to the Letran Knights, but he used it as a driving point that life doesn't end when you're losing.
Homer appeared to be on the losing end anew when the MBA closed shop but he found light at the and of the tunnel when he was picked up by Red Bull and won two championships with the Barakos.
The son of a farmer has become a star and Se doesn't want to waste this golden opportunity.

About the Player: Fortunately, Se started the league at a very young age so he has the time to heal the dreaded ACL injury he suffered at the latter part of last season. The 6'5" bullstrong inside operator, acquired from a trade with Red Bull for Vergel Meneses, played 47 games last year and averaged 6.8 points and 4.1 rebounds before the injury struck. His health status remains a question but his inside presence is badly needed by the Express.

Merlinda Carullo Bobis was born in Albay on November 25, 1959, to Nicolas Bobis and Amprao Carullo Bobis. She finished high school at Bicol University High School in 1976. In 1980, she graduated summa cum laude from Aquinias University, Legaspi City, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Adminstration. She continued her studies to gain a master's degree in literature from the University of Sto. Tomas in 1987, and a doctorate in creative arts from the University of Wollongong, Autralia, in 1994.
Merlinda Bobis has taught in various universities, including the Colegio de San Juan de Letran, the University of Sto. Tomas, and De La Salle University. She presently teaches creative writing at the University of Wollongong in Australia.

The daughter of Sylvia Diaz of Albay province and former US Peace Corps volunteer Ray Meyer, Cheryl made news in Manila in April when she bagged for The Dallas Morning News the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography.
She shared the award with partner David Leeson. Their winning entry was a collection of 20 photographs of the Iraq conflict, which they covered as journalists "embedded" in the ranks of advancing US Marines.
Meyer lived in Legazpi City until she was 13. She lamented that some of the people she grew up with now regard her more as American than Filipino.
