[ I could imagine the pain she must have been through, but perhaps who knows it could be a blessing in disquise for both of you]. [Pasensiya ka na romantic by heart ako, mahilig ako magbasa Mills and Boons kan ako nasa high-school pa ]= I made peace with her and her parentslong time ago. I’ve seen her 13 years ago and dai paman nahahali ang samong feeling towards each other. It’s mutual caya langwe made it a point na we don’t forget things and not cross the line. We are the best of friends.
2. In connection with the scenario and question above, at this stage, do you still have that wishful thinking na sana….? and do you have any regrets in some of the decisions you had in life? = In reality, yes and yes and yes many times over. I do have some score to settle with at least 3 of my EX’s. Muya cung makahuron sinda to say how foolish I was and to make sure they understand how sorry I am for what happened. One from Tabaco city, one from Manila and another from San Pablo, Laguna. The later one really got mad. I should have not believed what others said about her. I got mad and broke up with her. I didnot even give her a chance to explain. this one disadvantage of a long distance relationship. I just hope that when I have the chance it won’t be too late.
Regrets? Of course I have plenty of them. I can’t bring back everything. I just pray to the Lord Almighty that peace is with each one of them.
If by chance they happen to read this Post, each one of them know that it’s them I am talking about, I pray they find forgiveness in their heart. I am SORRY. -

what’s in US Navy? = as part of the US Navy, mahihiling/bisita mo angiba=ibang lugar,libre ang board and lodging, buda voluntary ini caya cung habo nindong mapaduman sa lugar na maywar mag hale and be a civilian. it’s your choice and if you choose to stay and nagca gyera you have to follow orders. You can imitate what Bill Clinton did when he was drafted, he evaded the draft by moving to Canada and later became the 42nd US President.
Please share to us your experiences there… = When I enlisted it was during the Vietnam war. Our Company Commander was sent to Vietnam after his shore duty and was killed in the delta when his Patrol Boat was ambushed. After Basic training, I was sent to class A school to learn how to serve officers coz at that time all pilipinos who joined don’t have any choice of work. You serve in the mess hall/galleyfor officers.It is only a stepping stone for us then later we can choose by changing our rate to a differentline of work. I was lucky enough because I graduated #3 in our class of 36. my first duty station was the CNO/SECNAV Flag Mess at the Pentagon (digdi mo ma meet and mga top brass can Pentagon from Secretary of this to under Secretary of that). This is where I bought my first car, a 65 Shelby Mustang 2+2. Six mos. later I bought anotherShelby, a 66GT350 2+2.In 1970, I was able to change rate and was sent toBasic Propulsion Engineering School and Machinist Mate Class A school in Great Lakes, IL. I have to sell my 65 because I can only take one with me. I graduated first in our class and was awarded a promotion and sent to another school via my last command. I drove back to the Pentagon and was given a free 2 week leavefor getting the promotion by topping the class. So lucky that the Japanese familly I meet during the Cherry Bloosom Fisteval in DC sent me a round trip ticket to Japan. I wentto Japan tovisit the family. 2 weeks was not enough but I had to return to my duty and drove to San Diego for my AC Ref Class C School. All of my classmates were salties (meaning they been in the Navy for awhile and been stationed onboard ships) I haven’t been on board any military ship. I did good in School thou.I have to sell my 66 Shelby cause I did not want to drive back to the East Coast. My nextduty wasat Quincy General Dynamics Shipyard at Quincy, Mass.(just outside Boston)where the USS Wabash AOR 5 was being built.I wastold to learn/study the main propulsion Engines and its accessories. Having no transportation, I bought a 64 Chevelle SS with Corvette package. We transported the car to Long Beach, CA after the ship was commissioned. We sailed around the Horn thru the Strait of Magellan. this is where I saw south America.( rio de janiero, Brasil, Valparaiso, Chile. I visited Santiago. Callao/Lima, Peru where I had a chance to visit Michu Pechu The lost tribe of the Incas. Then to Acapulco, Mexico.
In 72 I was stationed at the US Naval Base, Subic Bay, Philippines. I was the Petty Officer incharge of A gang of Docking Division, SRF Subic.I was there when Marshal Laws was declared. I had a good time in Subic because I can see my GF’s every weekend. Then I met my agom and got challenged by mother in law caya naca agom aco ng dai sa oras.
I went back to the US in 74 to board USS Towers DDG 9 while she was in the Yard for overhaul in Long Beach, CA. This where I was diagnosed with severe allergic rhinitis and was transferred to the US Naval Hospital San Diego. two years later I was medicallydischarged from the Navy with 30 % disability. I then worked for the US Dept. of Defense as a civilian. In 87, I was promoted to General Foreman of the AC Ref Section, PWC, Subic Bay Philippines. In 88, during typhoon Ruby I shattered my knee and was retired with 100% disability in 97. I’ve been retarded since then. daing trabaho. the Navy has been good to me and had given meall training I needed to improve my being.
the danger = the only danger is that if you or your peers got careless esp with 1200psi main Propulsion system, people can get killed.
the safest = I think the Navy is the safest compared to the other Branches (Army, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard).
the nerve-wrecking = mayo man sabi ngani ninda join the Navy and see the World.
the happiest = pag abot can Barko sa port masiraaaaaamon ang liberty
the saddest = paghali/larga o kaya matransfer na sa ibang destino, mamunduon ta sabi nga ninda you’re just beginning to know them then you get tranferredto start all over.
any bloopers?= while of the coast of Rio, may tyhpoon warning, ang G O P – get the main engine and turbo generatorsready andput themon standby. I was on duty at that time as Machinist Mate of the watch so I instructed the oher machinist Mate on duty to light off the Port Main engine and the turbo generators as well.igwang step by step procedure na dapat e follow. 30 minutes later dai pa ready su port main engine. it only take 7 min.max. Can nag inspection aco ay na dump niya su main engine oil sa bilges. we lostmore than1000 gallons of oil. Marhay ngani ta malinig su bilges. we recovered more than 1/2 of it.

Kung mayo ka sa California ngunian, sa hiling mo, po haen parte ka ng world? = cung wara aco sa California ngunian cguro sa Texas, Arizona, Utah o Sa Federal Republic of Bicolandia ha hahahahah!!!!
