5- as an English major, kaipuhan kaya kansatuyang nasyon na ang medium of school instruction nasa Inglis? In the last few years, I noticed how ugly the education system of the country have been. We gain less international recognitions, we produce less successful people, and some even graduated without knowing how to use the English language properly.I believe that the medium of instruction in the Philippines needs to be in English. The general language of Science and Math are English. The international mode of communication is English. And admit it, the language that will land you on a good job is English. Choosing English as the medium of instruction in Philippine schools is not being unpatriotic.Having English as the language of education will not make you less Filipino. Using it is not part of the colonial mentality, simply because you are just being practical.
