If you have to re live your life what would it be?///Inda sana Padi. Kan aki pa ako, dae ko maaraman kung ano an muya kong kolokasyon. Dae man akong indalan kaya su ambition ko ay hababa sana. Pero kung igwa akong inadalan, I think I’d want to be an engineer. I think I can be a good one. Mahilig akong mag distrungka maski kan aki pa ako.

Swerte naman ta nakapasar sa examin at sa interview. The rest is history.

Can nasa Navy ca Padi, ano ang naging work mo?///I was an Aircraft Mechanic Padi. I specialized in Hydraulics and Structures (fuselage), Flight Controls, Landing gearsand Pneumatic Systems.After boot camp, they sent me to Memphis, Tenneesseefor Aviation Schools. Ako sana an Pinoyna nata’wan nin “A” school sa company mi. Nagngalas ngani ako.Kaidto baga, before Adm. Zumwalt, gabos na Pinoy ay Steward antrabaho. i was one of the lucky few.Perhaps Igot a smart pencil when I took the ASVAB test. Remember that test we took on the 2nd day of Bootcamp? When reveillewas at 3:00 in the morning,when Company Commander threw the Thrash can in the middle of the hallway yelling “Reveille,reveille…drop your cocks and grab your socks” like in the movie Full Metal Jacket? Bungkaras kita gabos ta takoton kita kaidto. Tapos marcha pasiring sa R O to take thedreaded exam. I remember takingthe examhalfasleep because I was so tired. God was with me that day ‘coz I guess I did good. i worked on just about every aircraft in the Navy Invetory at the time. I hold multiple Aircraft NEC’s.The last airplane I worked onwas F-14 Tomcats and F-18 Hornets. I’m also a Certified Naval Instructor, a Certified Master Training Specialist and Recuit Company Commander. OOOH-RAAAAH!

Con saro sa hobbies mo ay mag restore can classic muscle cars, ano ang muscle car ang gusto?///Siguro 1965 Mustang GT Fastback. I used to own one and I regret selling it. All my cars (when I was single) were muscle cars that’s I was always broke. I’ve owned 1967 Firebirds, 1969 Camaros, 1970 Dodge Chalenger with 383 C.I. big block and (3) 2 barrel carburators. I’m also a fan of British Sports cars like MG’s. If I have the money, I’d buy a 1959 Bugeye Sprite. Sa Pinas, muya ko an dakulang kotse like Cadillacs. One of my favorite is 1959 Cadillac with humungous tailfins and lots of chrome. 1956 or 1957 Chevy Bel-Air’sare nice but expensive. I also like 1962 Buick Electra 225 Convertible, the car that ex-Mayor Yabut of Makati used to drive around. I was enamored by that car…musta been 25 ft long.Someday my dreams will come true….

seems you wil be meeting the new year with a bang with the array of questions. kinldy allow me to flood you more wahahahahaha, actually to soften it up: Okey lang Noi. Harani na akong matapos.
1- how do you like your eggs done? (lolz!)-Medium. Don’t like it well done and I’m scared of Salmonella, kaya medium sana. I like it with Tabasco Sauce also.
2- your toast? marmalade on it or buttered?-Both. I like orange marmalade and butter on my toast. Also like Fruit Preserves as it is not as sweet and its natural. Strawberry Preserves is my favorite.
3- fresh orange juice at 6 in the morning? or is it coffee first? how patient are you for a percolated one?-Coffee, hands down winner.I can survive without orange juice for a day or two but I don’t think I can survive without coffee for a day. I used to drink 4 to 6 cups a day and still able to sleep soundly. Caffeine perks me up. For the longest time, my staple diet is coffee and cigarettes. Siram bagang mag sigarilyo after coffee. I really thought I can live on those 2 things.
4- what makes oprah tick?-Not sure. Her skin color might have something to do with it plus she’s a woman and the first successful black tv hostess. I don’t want to sound bigot by any means. She does a lot of charity work as well so it helps her resume. I don’t get to watch her show because of schedule conflict.
5- can ellen de generes beat her?-Doubt it. She is good but I think Oprah is better. Her homosexual lifestyle might be the reason she will not be able to beat Oprah. Again, this is just my hunch. Some people still finds it difficult to accept gay lifestyle.
6- your concept of happiness is………?-When my children is able to make it on their own.When that happens, I can honestly say that all the hard I’ve done over the years has come to fruition. I can sit backand say “I’ve done my job” and that’ll make me happy.
7- what’s your fancy dinner like? how do you finish it up?-My wife and I would dress up on occasion 3 piece suit for me and a lovely dress for the wife. Drive to a fancy restaurant, use the valet service, walk in and request a tablewith a viewand with privacy and order something special or the house specialty. Top if off with wine and some desserts to roundout the meal. If there’s a show then we’d stay and watch. We go to Spanish Restaurant quite a bit and watch Flamenco Dancing. The beat just captivates me. I love it.
8- cuban cigars?-Not so much as I give up smoking about 6 yrs ago. In my youth, I used to go to Canada and buy Cuban Cigars as it was readily available up there during US Embargo. I’m afraid I might get hooke again if I try. Quitting smoking is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. I never thought I could do it. I smoked a pack a day (sometimes more) for 30 years.
9- will you avail of viagra?-He-he. I don’t think I’ll ever need it. I’m a testosterone producing kinda guy. LOLZ. My libido is just as active now as when I was in my 20’s.
10 – ever tired cannabis?-Absolutely. I was a child of the 60’s, the flower power generation, make love not war, the civil rights movement, Woodstock,the Vietnam war was raging.. It was a turbulent times and people were clamoring for changes. I tried it just to see what the fuzz is all about.Early in military career, I used to hang out with Whitefriends as therewere only a handful of us Pinoys in Aviation back then. After work, we’dgoto the barracks, crank the stereo full blast, listen to some rock and roll, light up a joint and trip on black light illuminatedmarijuana leaf poster. Remember those? I wasn’t hooked on it….just a social/casual user.I think I still have my tie dye t-shirt and sandals somewhere in the attick. LOL! Peace man!

a) career-be aggresive. Opportunity only come once. Seize the moment.
b) faith in God-always have faith in Divine Providence but you have to do the work. He’s only there to lend you a hand.
c) family-siguro nakita niya naman sa akin kunggaanokahalagaang pamilya.I try to be a role model so if and when he has his own family,I hope he will emulate his father and become repsonsible head of household. I can only hope for the best.

1. Hated school. I’ve seen the bias in our school system. The rich and famous and pretty gets a pass while the poor are treated like crap. Double standard.
