ano po ang na obserbahan mo at pinag ka iba kang ugali kang saluyot contry sa uragon country?///i’m not an expert on Ilocano customs pero I went through hell in trying to keep my marriage intact. If not for the kids, I could have turned my back and walked away. I managed to hang on because I don’t want my kids to suffer. Sa divorce baga, it’s the kids that suffer, bako an mag-agom. My wife is a very strong willed woman, and she doesn’t give in right away. Perhaps she’s too Americanized arog man kan situation ni Pading Ding. They are very thrifty (the saying holds true), very frugal in a sense which when applied properly, can be an asset. I find it difficult to adapt to their habits, eat their food and learn their dialect. I know a few phrases in Ilocano and that’s about it. But just like anything else, we learn to adapt to each other for the sake of the children. She doesn’t like hot and spicy foods and I don’t care much for dinengdeng or bagoong.She is more Bicolana now than I am an Ilocano. We hold one common ground and that is the love for our children.
