Lapidary

There is a great abundance of large boulders/rocks to be found all around Mayon, I know that they are making use of some of the rocks and stones, I was wondering if anyone was into actually cutting the stone and polishing them smooth to sell as trophies for sporting events, they also make great gifts to present to workmates leaving their employment. I was given one of these years ago and it looks suitable for the lounge-room, by comparisonI also had some engraved silver cups for long service awards, but they all ended up in the rubbish-bin. One can make all kinds of figurines from rocks if they have the right tools equipment. I have not come across anything manufacturedcut-stone in Bicol excepting decorative fasciaparquetry.
