@MARSON,Unfortunately, it is not a malfunction in my case hindi tulad sa TV mo. It is one of the numerous functions sa Toshiba TV dito sa bahay at sa remote control nito. I can go to the System settings anytime I want, and adjust the TV – reprogram the channels, peak the fine-tuning, and most especially switch between standard TV Free to Air Channels into cable channels and back again. I never had erased the eprom of my TV set, so I have no way to know kung paano reremedyuhan kapag nangyari yun sa TV ko, probably ipapa-service ko na din, hehehe.

You shouldn’t be in the SERVICE MODE on the first place, that mode is for technicians only. It happened to me in my mp3 player. I’ve entered the “service mode” and deleted all jthe data including the root directory, rendering the device useless. It just came back to life after I find a suitable firmware update online and reprogrammed the player. In your case, there’s not much firmware or software to reprogram your TV. That’s a matter of propriety, hehehe (secret of the trade). You want a good service warranty? Go with respected brands with original design and softwares like Sony….Hanapin mo sa Internet kung merong kapareho ang TV mo na ibang brand. There are times na nire-repackage lang ng manufacturers ang kanilang products into other licensed propriety brands and models to lower the cost for those who can’t afford to buy their original products. Kapag nahanap mo yung original brand for example, dun mo hanapin yung firmware or repairs sa problem ng TV mo.

Probably, you had entered the “SERVICE MODE”. Go to this forum at “ElectronicsLab.PH ” for more info: http://www.electronicslab.ph/forum/index.php?action=printpage;topic=13666.0If you had entered the “cable system”, try to go back to free to air channels (normal/ standard channels). Your TV must have a system menu settings such as channel program, video adjust, NTSC/ PAL select,, HRC, Standard Cable and Normal Channels adjust, etc. If that doesn’t work, go to the 2nd option below: …If your unit doesn’t have the option for factory reset, take it to the nearest service center and have its eprom (erasable programmable read only memory) reprogrammed or replaced. I’m afraid you can’t do anything at this point. Have it serviced by a qualified technician before you get things worse.
