Being Nationalist, Rizalist, old-fashion person is one thing, denigrating bicolano around the globe is another. If he has issues with Joe, he could have kept his concern to Joe, and not using the word “mga” because”mga” refers to anyone andeveryone whosimply work for a living abroad, whose roots arefrombicol region.having say that, I feelit is inappropriate to say, “mga oripon man baga” to bicolanos who are working across the globe, or from new york all the way down to theMiddle East.
Also, if he isa Nationalist, Rizalist, old-fashion, etc. – that’s fine andI appreciate that. but, what is not right is criticizing bicolanos who are legally working abroad. I don’t think he has business to say “mga oripon man baga…” as working abroad is a personal issue, not a social issue. and, that’s my points.

please let us not demonize BL he don’t deserve it. BL is one of the really good guys here in GB, always sharing his unconditional passion and love of nature and people(na-miss ko tuloy yung mga pics na pino-post nya). BL is a nationalist, romantic andpurist. gusto n’ya lang i-challenge or i-share ang kanyang opinyon sa isang salita na hindi siya sang-ayon na mag-describe sa mga Bikolano. he is a purist.. alam nya ang istorya/history ng salitang oragon and he has valid reasons. hindi ako sumasang-ayon sa kanya(like many others here) for the same valid reasons… but it doesn’t mean that when we disagree we make the other person evil. let’s disagree on ideas only and not make it personal. nangyari ini sa maraming threads digdi, hopefully we will come to a point where we all can mature.. myself included!
