    This thread is worth reading especially the ” Go Green for Life” and the “Population Control” I read on a paper that U.S.A. are donating ton of condom in the Philippines, but I dont know why people could’nt find them available. Maybe the “Fat Cats” are stuffing it in their pockets, why? reselling or using along with the viagra?
    The Go Green is very informative about using plastic container and the commercial water bottle. If heated in the microwave it willrelease phthalates that can cause cancer, birth defects, lung, liver disease.

    One of the best natural sedatives is tryptophan, an amino acid component of many plant and animal proteins.
    Tryptophan is one of the ingredients necessary for the body to make serotonin, the neurotransmitter best known for creating feelings of calm, and for making you sleepy.

    Unless Filipinos will not be open-minded and take the Church as ashield on this issue, Philippines will not succeed in population control. Justcan’t understand why the use of condom is not allowed by the Church to be used by legal couples while this method (condom)is used on illicit and immoral way which the Church cannot control anyway.

    UN reminds RP of commitments to ’94 population conference

    MANILA, Philippines – The Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary General on Monday reminded the Philippines of its commitments to the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development to provide all family planning information and services to its people.In an interview with INQUIRER.net, Dr. Nafis Sadik said signatories to the ICPD have the responsibility to provide complete and accurate information and services on both natural and artificial family planning methods.
    Despite these commitments, the Philippines has bent to the wishes of the Catholic Church and pushes only natural family planning methods.“The emphasis is on full information and access to services,” Sadik said. “People must be given all the information, the pros and cons of the each type of contraceptive. They cannot be denied choices.”Sadik said given these information, couples then are left to decide for themselves which type of family planning method to use.The secretary general of the 1994 ICPD, who is also Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Asia, is also worried about the phase-down of condom donations, principally from the United States Agency for International Development. “This is very troubling,” she said, adding that this will create a situation where only the rich, and not the poor who need them most, will have access to contraceptives. “The UN has no resources to take over…We are worried about the poor people who depend on these donations. We are worried that this would result in more unwanted pregnancies, abortions, and health risks to women,” she said.Asked about the popular belief in the Philippines that teaching teenagers about reproductive health would lead to promiscuity, Sadik said this is a “myth” not just in the Philippines but even in parts of the developed world like the United States and United Kingdom.She said surveys throughout the world indicate that giving young people the correct information actually brings down the incidence of teenage pregnancy. “All young people get information, but mostly incomplete information or misinformation,” she added.Sadik, who was executive director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) from 1987 through 2000 said that as puberty comes earlier, proper education is key.
