Manoy Banny, usually plug play pray na rin kanmga new versions kan Linux meaning you don’t need jeepney tsuper to install. Although pag igwa kan mga new hardware accesories better check with manufacturer kung igwa sindang supot ay support driver para sa Linux. For personal use, I’ll recomend you to try SuSE (hindi suso huh). I think release na su SuSE R10.0 ninda.
Madli lang kan installation kadi, almost similar na rin sa Windows XP. Bale GUI na rin kadi kay I’m sure you’ll find it easy at its gets! -

Kung dae tabi kamong kwarta na pambili ng legal na Microsoft Softwares. Pwedi tabikamong magswitch na lang tabisa mga libreng alternate OS or application software like Debian or SuSE Linux which is free to download from their site. Try this, and you may find them a lot stable than other M$ products.

sa hiling ko bako ang gobyerno ang patal ang alimantak kundi kita na nagagamit nin eligal na gamit. Nata ta nasabi ko iyan poon pa kan binakal ta ang software na pirated aram tanang sala pero ginigibo ta pa so, sisay ang patal? ang govyerno o kita?
saro pa sa nahihiling kong kapatalan ta, gibo kita ki gibong sala katapos tapose isisi ta sa iba(to the gov.) nata kang gibohon ta iyan hinadi mo/ta ang gobyerno??? dae di ba so, nata sisihon mo ang gobyerno, sisihon ta ang sadiri ta bako ang iba. kaya dae nag uuswag ang pilipinas sa mga pilosopiya tang sala.

We haveto learn to live with this. This is the law – the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, where Microsoft of Bill Gates has a patent and a trademark certificate. He has invested “blood, sweat tears and millions of dollars” to develop this program years back when we were doing nothing, ergo he is protected by our law. One of the protection given to registrants like the company of Bill Gates, to enjoin or prohibitunauthorized users by way of applying a search warrant and raiding establishment using pirated software, he he he. Dae mo mabasol na sana kaito pa sinda nag raid, they have the prerogative when to do it. Actually continuous ang mga raid. I should know because my law firm is extensively in the Intellectual Property practice.Kami man nag paparaid, though not microsoft ang client me but other foreign companies. The lawyer in-charge of enforcing microsoft’s rights via these raid (pestering even my friend in tabaco – the raid is still very “hot” in bicol. last week nas tabaco and when i left last sunday, nasa legaspi na and will go to the 3rd district of albay and on to cam sur and cam norte before they will hit again for the 2nd time anywhere and anytime in bicol) is my friend, he he he.
So an bottom line, we should stop all these useless politicking (of GMA) and bickering (by the media hungry opposition)and let us all get down to work, real work. Hello po saindo! makulog sa payo ang ginigibong raid kang mga software computers igde satuya,mala ngani ta kadikiton na sana baga ang unit na ginagamit mi igde sa shop,igwa man kuta kaming mga alternative na programs arog kang openoffice pero dae kabisado kang ibang customer,mapagal mg assist.Kaya ang ginigibo mi ngonian tinatago mi ang ibang units na pwedeng kumpiskahon.Sana kuta kaito pa sinda nag-action bago pa kumalat ang dae ma-intindihan na software piracy.Mga bugok ang mga alimantak(payo)…
