In concluding “my hotseat” I would like to add the below to Noy Mike’s question no.1 (sa last batch kan hapot niya tabi).
Islam and the West have had a rocky relationship for centuries, and in recent years the tension has only seemed to escalate. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine is religiously charged, Western involvement in Middle Eastern affairs is resented, and various hijackers, suicide bombers and terrorists base their actions on their Muslim faith.
Many Muslims, however, have denounced this radical minority as violating both true Islam and the true meaning of jihad, and Islam continues to be the fastest-growing religion in the world. -

In closing the hotseat, I would like to add this to Mikey’s last questions:

from Gayonon Recca:
Manoy Hajii, este Manoy Claro, maki unga man raw, tabi:Kin ta’wan ning pagkakataonna maging presidente ka nikading Pilipinas, aren”area”tabi ang tata’wan mo ning prioridad na mausay at Nyanga? Education. an aki ba’ga, gusto mong maka-nu’od ngona, ba’go mo siya “be’liwan”.
Unong bagay tabi (kin ka’yon) ang nagibo mo pero nagbasol ka nianga ta nagibo mo kadto? Why? I tried examining the deepest part of my conscious and subconscious mind, wara mina luwas na regrets. Seguro igua man, pero not that significant.
I think I answered this earlier (Malaybalay, Bukidnon is a good place to retire, ta limited ang tropical despressions, Vietnam would be good, pero mentenar ko man guilayon balay ko sa Bicol. I think it would be exciting to raise tilapia and shrimps… something new to do n my goldening years will be intriguing, would give me more years to live.
Bukod sa pagsurat, uno tabi ang second “love” mong gibohon. I always loved languages and never found time to perfect one, so if time would allow, I would polish my German.
Uno tabi ang “pananaw’ ninyo sa “third sex” (tomboy or bading) There is no such thing as “third sex”,the term has been coined by those whose sexual preferences are colorful and get themselves recognized, be given the go that what they do in public is just okay/acceptable. I am not injecting a religious clout if I would attribute this phenomena as a challenge from God, because manwasmade for a woman, a woman for a man. One who is reading this might come up with another question: then why did God create tomboys and badings? My answer is: He never did. Its man’s prerogative to deviate. If science says, wara ka na ka-an ngaya maguiguinibo, one’s awareness that he/she is gay yet maintains a balanced life, ( halimbawa not promiscous ta in my readings an fornicators will be stoned to death), and seeks God’s ways, am sure, will be guaranteed a place in heaven.
Kin ipangakos ka gilayon, gugustohon mo pa na manging “Claro Panesa” , nianga tabi? Definitely yes! There were things as a child I wanted to do but for some reasons, I wasn’t able to finish, kaya if reborn, I’d be the same Caloy, only that, I will complete what I left behind when I was young. -

kindly allow me to take the questions in a stride:
from noy mikey:
Manoy Caloy, my last minute questions. I hope you still have time answer it. (Note/aviso: I do not side with any parties. I go for what I think is right for the majority, kun dakol an mabebinipisyohan……….sometimes, we just have to sacrifice……Noy Caloy)(1) We remember today the most tragic event in American history โ the 9/11 terrorist attacks which claimed several thousand lives. Now my question is, was it a valid reason for US Government to invade Afghanistan in pursuit of al-Qaeda forces? It was valid but was a costly excercise, not only in financial terms, but to social justice. The U.S. knew where the head was. But its failure to capture Al-Qaeda’s topman (up-to-now), annihilated the U.S. government’s objective to end terrorism. The U.S. then has become more vulnerable as it bared its own weaknesses inspite of its military sophistication. The failure is now fanning fear and hatred from both sides. its sad… in war, there are no winners. And people, are afraid to cross cultural and religious borders…We have a lot to understand.
(2) Since you were certainly convince that the Shariah Laws or the Capital Punishment of Saudi Arabia helps minimize crimes in this country. Is it justified for the Arroyo administration to abolish the death penalty in our country? I would go for the proverbial’s an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. For me an guilty, na nag commit ki gruesome crime (arog kaidtong Vizconde massacre), dapat, death penalty an parusa, and the earlier the better, para ngane an panal-mingan kan ta’wo.
(3) By referring to GB Hotseat Rule #3. Itโs like invoking you’re “Fifth Amendment” rights. Now, would you agree with Arroyo Administration with her Executive Order 464, which prohibits public officials from appearing in congressional inquiries without her approval? EO 464was a controversial executive order ni GMA last Sept 2005, preventing cabinet members, police and military generals, senior national security officials to attend congressional hearings unless permitted by the President ( to those who will attend the proceedings). Tama lang, ta grabe na su crisis sadto, kun ono ono ang naga luwas sa mga ngimot san mga top officials, nalibong na su kumonidad. Dapat lang Noy Mikey, para ngane hindi maging out of control su situation and or, beyond proportion.
The Supreme Court had a say on this, asserting the validity of the right of the Pres to forbid executive officials from attending at the hour of question of the Senate and the House of Representatives and the right to request for a closed-door session if the “security of the state or the public interest so requires”.(4) Do you agree with the opposition politicians that this Executive Order 464 was only meant to prevent the public of knowing the truth about this administration scandalous business transaction? No. Our oppositionists are (excuse me please) narrow-minded, hiling lang ninda kun ano su agenda nindang ma prove/disprove su pig imbestigaran ninda, serving their own interests. Sa ibang democratic countries, kun an opposition or su majority nahiling nang-gad su resulta kan check and balance, na concede an saro. Kaya ba’kong maribokon. Eh kita, sows mi, lintikosan, maray na su dalagan kunta kan say, sa’rong plataporma, kokola’gon ta gusto man ka iba, makisabay sa pag onog kan ma’luto/omay, na pareho man sana sinda/kita an maka’on,makikinabang. For me, whatever remains improbable, must be the truth. The truth will always surface. tapos, kun an majority sato desganado, haloy na kuntang nag people’s power na naman. Pagal na kita.
(5) The Arroyo administration is spending too much effort and money to convince the public about this parliamentary form of government. Do you agree with Arroyo claimed that it is more suitable for the Philippines and easier for the Prime Minister to manage since our country is separated by of thousand Island? She is right. We had democracy under the American regime, we have democracy under our own management. But it seems something is wrong. with the so many islands, ethno factors, a parliamentary form of government would be realistic, what with all these claims of self-rule, autonomous region?????

from Manay GM:
I give them daily reminders (thru SMS) followed by emails and weekend-chats. Our topics range anything under the sun (though I am extremely careful on sensitive issues). They ask me, I ask them and we weigh out things (ano ang maray, ano ang pros and cons kan saindang desisyon). Ini marayrahay na pa agui ta they share me secrets, ta comportable sinda saco (ta sara Mama ninda “da-a”, na-init tolos an mga alimantak, daldal digdi daldal duman…bale minaluwas, garo na gansong nawara sa flock niya). I take it from there…. na pag may sikretong pig sabi saco, e-ataki ko tolos kun pa’no sinda maka-iwas kun confronted with the same scenario. Tapos, pig tawan ko ki ehemplo or role-playings. Inour weekly chat, I tell them to look around while going enroute to school, observe and do a reflection. Then, when nariparo kung serious na naman ang oro-ro-nan, naka crack ako ki joke…. yet, ba’go mag bye-bye, remind gueraray ako. Spiced-up minsan ang sharings ko, but it helps. With our age gaps, I make sure I can be them (except sa mag one hundred meter dash ta seguradong dae ko na kayahon hahahahaha)
I share them my experiences and my thoughts like ……comparatively, ngonian na panahon, masuertehon sinda sagkud su mga ka-aki-an ngonian. kaidto, sows niyako, daeng cell phones, daeng electronic emails, haloy kami nag ka kuryente, black and white su TV (haloy pa ngane ba’go kami nagka-TV). On the other hand, technology itself, can be a retribution if not used positively. what do i mean by this?: sa internet, yaon na ang gabos, prone ang mga youth (o maski gurang) na bumuklit (open) ki ano-anong sites (ta free-balls baga ngane sa pig-sabing cyberspace). maray sana igdi sa Saudi, censored ang mga dirty sites, kaya curtailed na maray ang internet activities (costing their government yet maintaining a good balance of moral senses and values). this net phenomenon has done miracles. it can also be dangerous. so back home, monitored sinda kan pag gamit kan internet, and to strictly observe house rules. Breaking the rule, means, dae kang pang snack the next day. hahahahaha, and it works.
2.Do you require them to send you their good grades para lalong ganahan ka mag tabang sainda? No I dont. I just tell them to be smart, participate in class recitation if they know the answer, just pass the subject, ta kun su capacity ninda ya-on lang sa median, daeman talaga po ma-pu-push to the edge su mga aki. aram kong aram mo ining pig-tataram ko igdiManay GM ta nasa medical field ka baga tabi. (Kaidto, kan aki pa ako, pati ika Manay GM sagkud su iba pa digding naka basa kan satuyang pig ororonan duman sa AN TUMAGIKTIK, nyan, ma-smile na sana kita kan naroromdom ta kan kita na tumagiktik, na-suguid, na-paha, na-pakol… kan satuyang mga magurang, para ngane we “burn the candles”…burn the gaserang grabe su asu’ng (smoke) mina-laog sa satuyang mga do-ngo, para simbagon sana su harlaba-on na homework….
However, I never fail to tell my nieces/nephews, grandnieces/nephews, keep reading (maski niyako su pinatosan kan tinapa… hahahahaha, ugali ko kayang mag-basa kun may oras, maski ngane kun ako nagkaka-silyas) as that would make them knowledgeable. Its still good… you know these hard-covered books, iba man gueraray ang da’ting kesya sa online reading. I gather here magazines (national geographic is an excellent reading material), rummage the bookstore/s pag nag announce nangCLEARANCE SALEand buy books at very cheap prices….pipadara ko via ship-freight (ta barato kesya airfreight). I dont stop there…. I give them online quizz (whoever ma-enot mag-answer right, may incentive).
Tapos su manga pamangkin kong tinawan kan Diyos ki maray na chromosomes and genes (arog man kan mga aki nindong matitibay talaga), and therefore normal na ang grades ninda ka-an halangkaw, I tell them not to be competitive (na kun saen halos dae na magkatorog ta segi an adal) niyako taketheir time, do some pacings, enjoytheir beingyoung, enjoy school……to choose the right extra-curricular activities (na they should not over-burden themselves with unnecessary activities… pipa dulag ko ngane sa mga parada pakatapos magpa chec (kun ba’ko man sana sinda opisyal sa CAT o majorette o miembro kan banda), maray pa niyako ka-an mag-uli na mag pahinga-lo… su iba habo, na parada nang-gad (ta sabi ngaya ni Ma’am bagsak kami pag absent)….hahahahaha, maski mainiton, ma-oranon. I would not be honest if I dont admit na pigtawan ko ki mga special gifts sinda pag na araman kong they did well. I also tell them na dae paka expectant, or too much confident… pig estorya ko sainda su batchmate kong para sinapot…..
3.Ano po an mga conditions mo sa mga pamangkins na pigtatabangan mo na mapaayos an saindang futuro? Again, I tell them to look around, look at the lives of others and do reflections… like niyata su amiga/amigo ninda dae naka-laog ki pirang aldaw and to see if they could do something to assist them in a way they can. I never forget to remind them to keep their feet in the ground, dae mag hambog ta pag abotan sinda ki makosog na paros, tumba sinda ka-an. Also, not be envious, jealous of others, na maray sana an humbe ta nagkataon lang may financial assistance sinda hali gnane saco, na dae ta aram an panahon kaya dapat handa-an ninda iyan thru good study habits, maray na behavior, no to drugs, strict observance kan good old values (mag bisa, mag good morning, mag thank you, umawon su maray na guibo kan classmates ninda). Sabi ko pa, I try my very best to give them the things as I child I did not have, kaya dapat e-value ninda kun ano man an pig-share ko, bako lang su kuarta kun di su pig taram ko ta niyako an kuarta madaling mahanap sana, na pag uminabot naman an panahon na sinda na an nag hahanap-buhay, mag tabang man sinda kun sisay dapat taba-ngan sa saindang pamilya, na kun may sobra, mag share sa kapwa.
so they learn/aware what is existing and living, dae sindang household helper, daeng driver. they do their own laundry, cook their own food, except mag-plantsa. (and recently, maogmahon ako, ta they raised some am -

from mikey: (my response in red font)
Manoy Caloy, here I am again throwing some questions. But this time is more on personal sides of Caloy which triggered by the “kick the bucket question” of Pading Wawoy:(1) My first question now isโฆ are you in an intimate relationship right now? No.
(2) If the answer is yes. Is she is also here in Saudi Arabia?
(3) If yes again, pirang girlfriend mo na sya out of 25 years mo digdi?
(4) If the answer is no. Then are you Desperately Seeking for Susan? No. I have learned to domesticate myself (hahahahah). If it happens, it happens. After all, I may not be the person one is looking for, but I have something beyond value, and that is my sincerity.
(5) If the answer is yes, what sort of trait of Susan you like that would encourage you walking-down the aisles with her?
(6) If Susan was previously married but separated and already have children from that married. Are you still willing to marry that kind of Susan and would treat and love her kids just like your own? I dont know, hard to tell. I’ll just “cross the bridge when I get there”. There is a concern here: being a new member of the family, one would definitely face a resistance, unless the kids are still very young… you know, like they are 2 or 3 years old and the new memberwill be in a good position to build a trusting relationship as the kids grow.
(7) We knew, internet are full of lies and deceptions but would you agree that Maugmang Lugar (GoBicol) is quite a unique website (Istambayan) which most of the members I believe are honest to goodness bicolonoes? You see, we have a tendency to believe (whether in the net culture or out-of-the-net) strangers as they dont deceive us. If they do deceptions, the impact is bearable since you dont know them at all. However, its still adviseable (not to get too upfront, thanks to Atty TCIII’s advice) to get to know the person well… (if your objective is tostart a relationship) your expectations might bounce back and or, the person might not just be the one you are looking for. You see, just like anybody else (who is/are still single), there is always the tendency to use “frames of references”, sort of comparing the recent from the latest…., thereby, ending up frustrated.
I’d like to commend gobicol site for its nobility, decency and balance journal postings. It’s fast growing to be a “family” where the members are able to relate with one another ( I have observed). There seems to be a good amount of tolerance among the members, which makes the site distinct and unique (compared to others). Over-all, I’d be glad to recommend gobicol site to Bicolanos.(8) Now, if you see that kind of Susan that you were looking for here in GoBicol. Would you propose to her online in the eyes of the members? Or would you rather done it in privy conversation? I would apply rule no. 3 of hotseat on this question.
(9) Would it be okay if I request you to list at least one or two female member of GB where you appreciates their postings and excited more from them? there’s a long list: all the ladies in this site are intriguing and they are all interesting.
(10) Would it be okay if I request you to list at least one or two female member of GB that you admire and saw in them the characters of Susan that you were looking for? My knees are knocked, knuckled….. as I said, all the ladies in this site are intriguing, each unique in their own way, each different from the other but all are pretty, beautiful, cute and intelligent. above all, they go for labuyo!!!!
