Tip for Beginners:
You can also use Adobe Photodeluxe instead of Adobe Photoshop. Mas user friendly po ini and almost all the features are there. Now I use them both. -

The official book of Adobe training book is “Adobe Photoshop Classroom In A Book” comes w/ a CD. Excellent steps for learning if you want to get started. If its part of your job, there are books specialy for it. You have to jot down what you learned because there are so many tricks you will hardly remember most when you need them again. -

Lesson # 2
STEP 1:
Pick nindo sa tool pallet ang POLYGONAL LASSO TOOL (L) (take note polygonal not the lasso only see on FIG 1) nata tabi ta polygonal? Bakong arog kan polygonal na pwede mong i-release ang mouse button then continue again tapos kung masala kamo pag pick just hit the back space mabalik iyan sa last pick point nindo i-zoom in or zoom out using Ctrl-+ for zoom-in Ctrl-minus for zoom out, and pan by holding the left mouse button while dragging up down or left right.
Now start tracing the edge of your image na gusto nindong maging colored (for ex. the edge of flower),just click the left button of your mouse for the first point. Then the next point to the next so on until it came back to your starting point.
Tapos magkakaigwa iyan ki linyang gari ulod na naghihikol-hikol (as shown below FIG 2)STEP 2
Habang nasa polygonal lasso (L) ka right click mo ang mouse mo, may maluwas dyan dialogue box then pick mo yung SELECT INVERSE. Ma inverse kaiyan su selected mong area, so now bako ng active area na gusto mong colored.STEP 3
Sa full down menu select nindo su “Image” then “Adjustments” then click “Desaturate” then magiging Black White na itong naka Lasso na area.
STEP 4
Pag ka tapos nindo kan STEP 3, habang nasa polygonal lasso (L) kamo right click uli nindo ang mouse then click “Deselect” mawawara na su naghihikol-hikol na linya, then “Save As” (Shift+Ctrl+S) nyo na. that’s it!Note: kung masala kamo pwede nindong i-retrieve su ginbo nindo sa HISTORY window or Ctrl+Alt+Z.
